After Pulwama attack, Israel promises ‘unconditional’ help to India, asserts ‘there is no limit’ to assistance

New Delhi – Following the Pulwama attack, US National Security Advisor John Bolton acknowledged that India had the right to take action to defend itself. The US support has created a stir in Pakistan. Right after, the newly-appointed Israeli Ambassador to India, Dr. Ron Malka announced that Israel offers ‘unconditional’ help to India. He also made a crucial assertion that ‘there is no limit’ to its assistance. Pakistan is, therefore, panic-stricken as it is well aware of the Israeli military prowess. Reacting to the Israeli statement Pakistan’s Foreign Minister declared that Islamabad wants to improve its relations with Israel.

‘Whatever India needs to defend itself there is no limit. We are here to help our close friend India to defend itself especially against terrorism because terrorism is the problem of the world, and not only of India and Israel,’ said Dr. Malka.

‘Therefore, Israel is keen on providing the knowledge, technique and technology for counter-terrorism actions, to India because we really want to help our very important friend in its defence,’ said Dr. Malka as he expressed the sentiment of his nation. He said that Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu had also conveyed the same message to him and asserted that India was a very ‘important partner, crucial friend’ and that he wanted to collaborate with New Delhi to enhance and deepen the ties’.

Meanwhile, with Israel proposing unconditional and unlimited support to India, Pakistan is panic-stricken. Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has claimed that Pakistan wants to establish relations with Israel. Until now, Pakistan had refused to accept the very existence of Israel with the position that Israel was an illegitimate country settled on the Arab land. Albeit, given the Israeli offer to cooperate with India, Pakistan seems to be willing to change its policy which it had adopted since its very inception.

China expects India to exhibit restraint after Pulwama terror attack

Beijing – China, Pakistan’s long-time close ally has appealed to India to exhibit restraint at a time when India is preparing to teach a lesson to Rawalpindi following the cowardly terror attack at Pulwama. China, trying to project a reasonable face, has said that India and Pakistan should exhibit restraint and resolve the issues at the earliest through a dialogue.

It is evident from the public outcry over the last five days in India that its analysts and also the people have certainly not forgotten that it was China that used its power of veto power at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to stop action against Jaish-e-Muhammed (JeM) chief Maulana Masood Azhar.

During a press conference, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman Geng Shuang stated China’s response to the Pulwama attack.

Shuang tried to compare India to Pakistan by saying that India and Pakistan were very critical countries for the security and stability in South Asia. Therefore, they both should display restraint after a terrorist attack and find a solution through dialogue, Shuang said.
