PM Netanyahu warns Iran in presence of US Secretary of State

Jerusalem: As Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated a warning, he said, ‘With or without the support of the United States, Israel will prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons at any cost. A nuclear-armed Iran would be a threat to Israel’s very existence.’ At the same time, Prime Minister Netanyahu added that ‘US President Biden’s statement that ‘peace in the region cannot be established without recognising Israel’s existence’ is correct.’ The US is trying to revive a nuclear deal with Iran, but Iran has never acknowledged Israel’s existence. Therefore, Biden’s claims and the contradictions in his policy were pinpointed precisely by the Israeli Prime Minister at a press conference with the US Secretary of State.

इराणला इशारा, Benjamin NetanyahuOn Tuesday, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken arrived in Israel. The US Secretary of State is visiting Israel and Palestine in the wake of the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. Secretary of State Blinken met Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. ‘Israel has every right to self-defence, and the United States stands with Israel. Even though the United States has announced financial aid to the Palestinians, it will be ensured that it does not fall into the hands of Hamas,’ Blinken assured. At the same time, Blinken said that he had discussed the nuclear deal and ongoing negotiations in Vienna with the Israeli Prime Minister.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has welcomed US support. However, Netanyahu warned that if Hamas broke the ceasefire and resumed rocket attacks in the near future, it would be met with a more robust response. Prime Minister Netanyahu has said that Israel will collaborate with the United States to prevent Hamas from re-arming itself. While speaking on the issue of Iran, the Israeli Prime Minister assumed a more aggressive tone.

‘We hope that the US does not repeat the 2015 nuclear deal as the agreement provided international recognition to Iran’s nuclear arsenal. But Israel is not concerned with the outcome of the talks in Vienna. Israel will not allow Iran to become nuclear-armed under any circumstances, with or without the support of the United States. A nuclear-armed Iran is a threat to Israel’s very existence,’ Netanyahu said.

At the same time, Prime Minister Netanyahu called on the United States to assist Israel in establishing cooperation between Israel and Arab-Islamic countries. Netanyahu also said, “Peace in the region cannot be established without acknowledging the existence of Israel,” as he recalled a statement made by President Biden. Moreover, he asserted that the issue would be the key to peace in the region.

Meanwhile, although the Biden administration is keen to sign a nuclear deal with Iran, it has not acknowledged Israel’s existence. On the contrary, Iran is still threatening to destroy Israel and wipe it off the world map. Hamas, which has launched thousands of rocket attacks on Israel, was armed by Iran. Iran has also said it will continue to provide military assistance to Hamas.

In such a situation, Biden claims that peace in the region cannot be established unless Israel is recognised while also cooperating with Iran, which threatens to end Israel’s existence. The Israeli Prime Minister appears to have pinpointed just that.
