Russia intensifies missile attacks on Ukraine

Moscow/Kyiv: A total of 143 countries condemned the Russian attack on Ukraine at the United Nations. On the other hand, 35 countries decided to remain neutral on this proposal refraining from voting against Russia. Russia has strongly criticized this resolution of the United Nations. At the same time, Russia struck more than 40 Ukrainian cities with missiles. Russia reportedly used Iranian-made Kamikaze drones for this. There have been substantial repercussions of this Russian attack.

missile attacksOn Monday, Russia launched a series of crushing missile attacks on the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, and other cities in the country. It is said to be the first time since the start of the Ukrainian conflict that Russia has launched such a fierce attack on the country. Reports said that the attack devastated Ukrainian cities and infrastructure projects within the towns. Some people have alleged that even though it has been nine months since Russia initiated the offensive in Ukraine, the country has not yet used its military capabilities. However, on Monday, Russia demonstrated its military capabilities to Ukraine with missile attacks.

Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said that the first episode of the attack on Ukraine had just commenced. Also, Medvedev claimed that more crushing attacks would be carried out in Ukraine in the coming times. After that, more than 40 Ukrainian cities were targeted by Russia with its missiles and Kamikaze drones again. The communication facilities in these cities are claimed to have been affected by these attacks. Russia used Iranian-made Kamikaze drones for the attacks, which becomes noteworthy. Earlier, Ukraine had warned Iran, which supplied these drones to Russia. Therefore, Iran’s relations with Ukraine and the Western countries standing behind Ukraine have been strained further.

missile attacksMeanwhile, senior officials of the Ukrainian armed forces informed that its air force had also launched 32 attacks on 25 Russian targets. However, the details are yet to be disclosed. As Russia continues to launch missiles, Ukraine has demanded an air defence system from the United States and NATO member countries. There are indications that this demand will be accepted. At the same time, Ukraine’s participation in NATO is again being discussed intensely. Nevertheless, the Deputy Secretary of Russia’s Security Council has warned that Ukraine’s participation in NATO will act as a trigger, transforming the conflict into the Third World War.

After Russia annexed four Ukrainian provinces and declared them part of the Russian Federation, Ukraine initiated moves for NATO membership. But not all NATO member states have agreed on Ukraine’s participation in NATO. In such a situation, these warnings by Russia to Ukraine and NATO are making the atmosphere in Europe increasingly volatile. Meanwhile, Russia has again turned the tide of war by firing missiles at Ukraine. The United States and NATO, which are supporting Ukraine, have thereby become unsettled because they have realized that Ukraine will not be able to sustain the missile attacks for long. In such a scenario, it seems that the United States and NATO are struggling to maintain the morale of the Ukrainian army.
