Russia launches intense attacks in eastern & southern Ukraine

Moscow/Kyiv: While the West is voicing displeasure over the policy regarding Ukraine’s Bakhmut, Russia has started launching intense attacks on Eastern and Southern Ukraine. intense attacks As the Russia-Ukraine conflict completes one year, many Western organizations and media have claimed that Russia’s defence capability has decreased and become weak. However, the Russian Army is attacking Ukraine more aggressively and with more power. Russia is launching attacks on various parts, from Kharkiv in the North of Ukraine to Odesa city in the South. Although the number of attacks being launched by Russia has decreased, it is being revealed that the current attacks are more effective and accurate. At the same time, it has come to light that new weapons and defence systems have been given to the Russian Army.

The Russian Army is using all of its strength to take control of Bakhmut, an important city in east Ukraine’s Donbas region. Despite the casualties and other losses, the Russian units are making an advance in the city in phases. Russia is said to have succeeded in corning the Ukrainian Army in the western part of the city. About 15,000 Ukrainian soldiers are concentrated in the western part of Bakhmut, and Russian sources claim that they have successfully disrupted supplies from outside. Local Ukrainian commanders admitted that it is getting increasingly difficult for the Ukrainian Army to defend itself due to the Russian military aggression.

Also, Russia has intensified its attacks in Sloviansk, Avdiivka, Marinka, Chasiv Yar and areas close to Donetsk City. In the last 24 hours, the Russian Army has launched large-scale air attacks in this area. According to Ukrainian officials, Russia launched about 32 air strikes in the last 24 hours. Two ‘S-300’ missiles were fired on Sloviansk City on Wednesday night. In addition, Russia is said to have fired more than 40 rockets. Local sources said that Zaporizhzhia was targeted with missiles along with air attacks.

In the meantime, the Russian Defence Ministry stated that more than 600 Ukrainian soldiers were killed in the clashes in Kupiansk and Lyman, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson. The ministry also said that about 250 Ukrainian soldiers were killed in clashes near Donetsk city and 180 in clashes near southern Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia.
