Tehran: ‘The joint attack by the United States, Britain and France on Syria is a crime. The US President ‘Donald Trump’, British Prime Minister ‘Theresa May’ and French President ‘Emmanuel Macron’ become criminals,’ blamed the supreme religious leader of Iran, Ayatollah Khamenei targeting the three leaders. At the same time, Khamenei warned that the United States will not get anything out of the Syrian war, despite spending millions and billions of dollars.
Iran played an important role in saving the Assad government by participating in the civil war in Syria from the government’s side. For some time now, Iranian leaders have been warning that the attacks on Syria will be considered as attack on Iran. Therefore, it was a strong possibility that Iran would give a very severe reaction to the joint attacks by the United States, Britain and France. As expected, the supreme religious leader of Iran, Ayatollah Khamenei, has severely criticised the United States, Britain and France and termed their leaders as criminals.
The United States has spent billions of dollars on the Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan campaigns. But the United States and its allies have not gained anything from these conflicts. And yet, these countries continue their criminal activities, criticised Khamenei. At the same time, these countries are fighting to save the terrorists instead of fighting against them, alleged Khamenei. Khamenei also claimed that the organisation ‘IS’ is a creation of the United States. Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has protested the attack on Syria. Nothing other than destruction and devastation will come out of these attacks, warned President Rouhani.
These attacks have been carried out to justify their deployment in Syria. The western countries seem to have been angered as the Syrian army has defeated the terrorists in Eastern Ghouta. They have expressed their anger by carrying out these attacks, alleged the Iranian President. The military and diplomatic officials in Iran also have started criticising the United States, Britain and France and have started issuing warnings that these attacks can have dire consequences.
