Berlin: The new Migration Pact introduced by European Union is dangerous; the EU could import 70 million African refugees over the next 15 years, warned EU’s German MEP, Gunnar Beck. Last month itself, news had surfaced that Spain deployed its army at its borders to stop the African refugee influx. Besides, the Italian government recently revealed that in the first four months of 2021 alone, over 10,000 refugees attempted to enter Italy.

In the last decade, a massive influx of refugees started to enter Europe due to the ‘Open Door Policy’ implemented by German Chancellor Angela Merkel. As the discontent against it kept growing, aggressive decisions were made to stop this influx over the last two years. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic and resultant situation, efforts have resumed once again to open borders for refugee migration. The ‘Pact on Migration and Asylum’ by European Union is part of the same scheme, Alternative for Germany Party leader and MEP Gunnar Beck accused.
