Tehran: General Allahnoor Noorollahi, a senior commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) warned that ‘Iran is prepared for “the greatest war against the greatest enemy”, which is the United States. Thousands of Iranian missiles are aimed at 21 US military bases in the region. Iran is capable of launching 20,000 missiles every day.’ At the same time, Iran has the capability to destroy the Israeli cities of Tel Aviv and Haifa, General Noorollahi said.
While speaking at a military event organised in Iran’s Bushehr city, General Noorollahi claimed that even NATO was fearful of Iran’s defence preparedness. General Noorollahi is an advisor to the IRGC and said that Iran had a significant number of missiles. Also, during a military even, General Noorollahi informed that ‘Iran is the world’s fourth [strongest] missile power after the US, Russia, and China.’
General Noorollahi touted Iran’s capabilities saying that ‘Unfortunately, some Gulf countries have become a military camp for our enemy. Even so, 21 of their bases constitute targets for our missiles. NATO itself announced that Iran’s 110 missile bases and launching sites are capable of launching 20,000 missiles per day. The United States has also acknowledged the Iranian missile strength. When a country reveals not only its underground missile bases but also its missile ‘cities’ to the enemy – this reflects readiness and capabilities.’ A US company later translated a video broadcasted on the Iranian news channel.
Furthermore, General Noorollahi claimed that ‘This means Iran is ready for the biggest war against the biggest enemy.’ The General stated that Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries in the Middle East were not Iran’s adversaries. At the same time, he threatened Saudi and its Arab allies saying that ‘If the United States and their Middle Eastern allies instigate Iran, we will not hold back.’
Moreover, IRGC commander General Hossein Salami had also claimed that Iran could destroy the United States, Israel and Saudi Arabia.
