Moscow/Kyiv: Ukraine has accused Russian defence forces of intensifying the missile attacks. Ukrainian military chief Valerii Zaluzhnyi said Russia launched a whopping 130 missile strikes on Ukraine over the last four days. Ukraine said most of these missiles were from the cruise, ballistic and supersonic categories. The Russian missile strikes are causing massive damage in Ukraine and analysts claim that if the intensity of the Russian missile attacks is maintained, Ukraine could be cornered further. A leading news channel has also reported that the officials from the Biden administration are expressing an opinion that Ukraine will not be able to regain control over the parts acquired by Russia.
Moreover, the aggression of the Russian forces is seen to have increased after taking control over Mariupol and Severodonetsk. Control over regions in Donbas one after the other and the fresh attacks on capital Kyiv and Odessa endorse the view. Countries like the United States and the United Kingdom, supporting Ukraine and supplying weapons on a massive scale, are endorsing this. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and senior US officials also acknowledged that Russia is gaining major success in the Donbas region and its forces are forging ahead in the region.
Furthermore, the Ukrainian officials are making statements regarding the rising Russian aggression. Military Chief Valerii Zaluzhnyi and Internal Security Minister Denys Monastyrsky informed regarding the rising extent of the Russian missile attacks. Military Chief Valerii Zaluzhnyi said, ‘Four days ago, Russia launched 53 missiles. Three days ago, 26 missiles were launched. Two days ago, 40 missiles were launched and 12 missiles were launched yesterday.’ Internal Security Minister Denys Monastyrsky acknowledged that Russia launched more than 100 missiles in the last few days. The Ukrainian air force said that Russia is using various kinds of missiles.
Meanwhile, Russia has used Calibre, KH-22, KH-59 and Toshka-U missiles to launch attacks in Ukraine. These missiles have been launched into the capital Kyiv, Kharkiv, Kremenchuk, Mykolaiv and Odessa. At the same time, missile attacks are also being carried out on various cities in the Donbas region. The local Ukrainian officials informed that attacks are being launched from both sides on the city of Lysychansk in Luhansk.
