Moscow/Kyiv – Russia has started to increase the intensity of its military campaign again after Ukraine launched an attack on Crimea and the Russian-controlled areas in southern Ukraine. It has come to light that Russia vigorously attacked all parts of the Ukrainian front on Tuesday and Wednesday. These include attacks from Kharkiv in northeastern Ukraine to Odessa in the south. Ukraine has claimed that in the last 48 hours, Russian forces have launched large-scale air and missile strikes. Meanwhile, senior Ukrainian officials claimed that more comprehensive action would have to be taken to regain the territory from Russia after two successive attacks on Crimea.
In the past few days, Ukraine has launched significant attacks in the Russian-held Crimea, Donetsk and Kherson regions. These attacks had successfully destroyed Russian air bases, military bases, weapons depots and logistics routes. Ukraine and the West had claimed that Russia was shocked by these attacks by Ukraine. But in the last 24 hours, Russia has disproved this perception by launching heavy attacks on all parts of the Ukrainian front.
Moreover, Russian warplanes carried out significant airstrikes in Zhytomyr and Kharkiv in northern Ukraine, as well as in parts of Soledar and Marinka in eastern Ukraine and regions of Zaporizhzhia in southern Ukraine. Major missile attacks were launched south of the Ukrainian city of Odesa and Kharkiv. It was informed that strategic bombers were used for the attacks on Odessa. In addition, the heavy firing of cannons, tanks, and rockets is going on in the Sloviansk, Bakhmut, and Avdiivka areas of Donbas. Ukraine claimed that Russian forces were striking eight hundred times a day. Besides, the Defence Department of Russia also informed that the front line of the Ukrainian army was broken and advanced near Vuhledar and Bakhmut.
A few days ago, Ukraine attacked and blew up a railway bridge in Russian-held Kherson. It is said that this bridge was necessary for the logistics of Russia. Later, Ukraine also said it had blown up a large base of the Russian private military company ‘Wagner Group’ in the Donetsk province.
