Washington/Beijing/Moscow – Admiral Charles A. Richard, the Chief of the US Strategic Command, warned that the possibility of a nuclear war against China and Russia has increased. Admiral Richard also pointed out that the US had not faced such rivals and challenges in the last three decades. Two days ago, Russian President Vladimir Putin sternly warned that Russia’s threat regarding the use of nuclear weapons was not empty. After that, the American official’s statement leads to attention.

‘Now they are talking about nuclear blackmail. Those that allow such statements shall be reminded that our country also has various weapons of destruction, and … they are even more modern than the NATO ones. If there is a threat to the territorial integrity of our country and to protecting our people, we will certainly use all the means available to us. I’m not bluffing’, Russian President Vladimir Putin made Westerners aware of the reality.

Attempts were made to nuclear blackmail Russia through attacks on the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant and statements made by officials of NATO member countries. There were warnings of using nuclear weapons against Russia. Besides, Putin warned that these countries should remember that Russia has more advanced nuclear weapons than NATO countries.

Admiral Richard made aware in it that Russia and China are countries that are able to take the conflict to the extreme in any field related to war. Richard said the US had not experienced such a rival in the last few years.

He also warned that the threat from both China and Russia on the issue of nuclear conflict and the possibility of conflict breaking out against them has increased. The American official also said that this might change the nature of the war in the future.

At this time, Admiral Richard also mentioned the Nuclear Posture Review, which was recently presented in the US. He claimed that the decisions taken by the US regarding the modernisation of the ‘Nuclear Triad’ and the improvement of the ‘Command and Control System’ become important.
