Missile tests were a practice to target the US and South Korea

Seoul: The recent spate of missile tests conducted since last week was a practice to mercilessly target air bases, operation command centres and other locations in the United States and South Korea, the North Korean military warned. The military further claimed that it had to carry out this exercise due to the provocation given by the US and South Korean military exercises. Meanwhile, South Korean destroyers participated in the international fleet review organized by Japan.

सरावThe Vigilant Storm exercise involving 240 fighter jets between the United States and South Korean air forces began last week. North Korea had accused the United States, saying it had written a nuclear war script against Pyongyang, and its preparation is going on through this war exercise. At the same time, North Korea also launched a barrage of short-range and long-range ballistic missiles to threaten the United States and South Korea. It also included an intercontinental ballistic missile.

North Korea has warned that it has practised targeting airfields, military sites and aircraft in the US and South Korea through these missile tests. The North Korean military also threatened that the US and South Korea’s provocative military exercises would continue to receive such a response. The United States and South Korea criticized this warning from North Korea. Besides, the US has warned that North Korea’s aggression will be answered with an appropriate action in response.

Meanwhile, the Japanese Navy organized the international fleet review on Sunday. South Korean destroyers also participated along with those of the United States, Australia and Canada. It is the first time in seven years that South Korean destroyers have joined such a naval event.
