Ukraine perpetrated drone attack on Russia’s Kremlin to kill President Putin

Moscow/ Kyiv: Ukraine launched a drone attack on the Kremlin to kill Russian President Vladimir Putin. But Russia has created a sensation by claiming that the Russian defence forces foiled the attack. Russian spokesman Dmitry Peskov informed that President Putin was not in the Kremlin at the time of the attack, and there were no casualties in the attack. But this was a ‘terrorist act’, and Russia will certainly retaliate against it. Peskov has warned that Russia will respond to this attack anytime and anywhere. As a result, the Russia-Ukraine conflict, which has been going on for the past 14 months, is about to become more destructive.

Russia’s spokesman has strongly accused that Ukraine’s drone attack on the Kremlin on Wednesday was intended to target the Russian president and constitutes a terrorist attack. However, Ukraine has denied these accusations. Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the Ukrainian president, said that Ukraine had nothing to do with the attack. Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken doubts Russia’s allegations. The US Secretary of State has hinted that Russia expects everyone to accept its accusation as it is.

Furthermore, the media of Ukraine and European countries have also raised doubts about these accusations of Russia. The president of Ukraine had claimed that his country was preparing to launch a counter-attack against Russia. In such a situation, Russia has advanced the drone attack as an excuse to intensify its attacks on Ukraine. Concerns are being expressed in European countries, including Ukraine, that Russia will use this to attack the people of Ukraine and infrastructure projects. When the attack occurred, the Ukraine President was visiting Finland for talks with the five Nordic countries. Before this attack in Moscow, the Ukrainian president had announced that his counter-attacks on Russia would begin in the future. Besides, Russia is giving evidence of this.

Moreover, Russia’s Victory Day over Germany in World War II will be celebrated on May 9. Another accusation by Russian spokesmen is that Ukraine is preparing to disrupt the ceremony in Moscow. However, no matter what happens, this victory parade of Russia will occur at any cost, Russian spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

Before Wednesday’s drone attack, Ukraine had carried out drone attacks on fuel depots in the Russian city of Sevastopol and caused fuel fire. All the more, Ukraine had indicated that it could carry out drone attacks up to the capital of Russia. Russia had also warned Ukraine of dire consequences. But after Wednesday’s attack, Russia’s actual threat to Ukraine draws the world’s attention. There are indications that Russia will soon intensify its attacks on Ukraine to cause more damage.
