With on-going Turkish genocide, Kurds in Syria say ISIS terrorists not their responsibility anymore

Damascus: The Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have issued a stern warning saying that they would not bear responsibility for 12,000 ISIS terrorists and 90,000 more, who are families and supporters of the ISIS, anymore. Mustafa Bali, a spokesman for the SDF, warned that the risk of genocide was lurking over the Kurdish people and therefore they would now focus only on saving their people.

A few days ago, Turkey initiated a military operation called ‘Operation Peace Spring’ in Northern Syria. Under the action, pounding attacks were launched with fighter jets and tanks which Turkey affirms have claimed the lives of more than 300 Kurds. The SDF and other Kurdish organisations have begun retaliating against Turkey resultantly causing significant damages to them, the SDF spokesman claimed.

However, as part of retaliation, the Kurds have indicated exercising the alternative of releasing the ISIS terrorists in their custody. In the last four years, the United States captured thousands of ISIS terrorists during its counter-terrorism action in Syria. The terrorists were put into prisons located in the territories under the Kurdish control in Northern Syria. The Kurds had informed imprisoning nearly 12,000 ISIS terrorists. At the same time, 90,000 family members of the terrorists that support the ISIS, are also under detention with the Kurds.

Previously, the Kurds had warned of retaliating against Turkey with all their strength. Therefore, the military units deployed for the ISIS prison security, are believed likely to be diverted to fight Turkey. SDF spokesman Mustafa Bali threatened to release the ISIS terrorists considering the circumstances. Also, the ISIS terrorists as even their families and supporters are ‘detonated bombs’ which can explode at any time, Bali cautioned.

The US and UK military officials had issued a severe warning regarding the ISIS terrorists under the Kurdish custody only a few days ago. The officials stated that if the 11,000 plus terrorists were set free and become active again, it would lead to the resurgence of the ISIS terrorists in the region. Moreover, they feared the terrorists would reinitiate the conflict with the help of their supporters in Syria.

Consistent demand has been put forth for the European countries to accept responsibility for the terrorists who belong to their nations. Nevertheless, the European countries have disregarded the plea. US President Donald Trump had thereby threatened to release all of the captured ISIS terrorists at the European borders.
