Kyiv – Russia has continued its intense airstrikes on ten major Ukrainian cities, including the capital city Kyiv. Russia has taken control of the southern Ukrainian port of Kherson, and the port of Mariupol will also be under Russian control in a few hours. It has become clear that Russia will fully confine Ukraine by taking control of both these ports. The United States and NATO have imposed tough economic sanctions on Russia by announcing Ukraine armed. But Russia has warned that a nuclear war may spark over the Ukraine issue and has made the US and NATO aware of the dire consequences of the war.
Moreover, Russia admitted that 498 soldiers were killed in the Ukraine war. At the same time, more than 2,800 Ukrainian soldiers were killed and more than 3,500 wounded in the conflict, informed the Russian Defence Ministry. Moreover, the Defence Ministry said that Russia detained 572 Ukrainian soldiers. Russian Air Force planes are tremendously bombing ten major cities, including the Ukrainian capital, photographs of the buildings devastated, as a result, are being released in the media and also the social media.
Western media has been bellowing that innocent Ukrainian civilians are victims of these attacks, and it is being used for anti-Russian propaganda. Besides, the US and European countries are using these attacks to provoke international public opinion against Russia. However, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has denied the allegations in an interview with the media.
Lavrov made accusations on the Western countries of constantly arming Ukraine and training Ukraine’s military to develop bases in the country. He said that it was a ploy by the West to use Ukraine to thrust against Russia through these bases. But we will not be safe unless we destroy the military infrastructure that Russia intends to use against Russia, affirmed Lavrov. Earlier, Lavrov had issued a shocking warning that Ukraine’s issue would lead to the eruption of World War III, which would involve the use of nuclear weapons.
Meanwhile, it has become difficult for the United States and NATO to ignore this warning. At least some countries would part from the US-NATO’s stance on Ukraine as the threat of nuclear war escalates. The US and NATO have been worried that even the international public opinion, which is currently against Russia, will insist on a compromise to end the war in Ukraine. Therefore, Russia does not need to make nuclear threats instead of any other coerce threats, said US and NATO officials.
