Moscow/Kyiv – The Ukrainian officials claimed that the attacks by Russia in Ukraine have become more intense and widespread daily, causing tremendous casualties in Ukraine. Last month, it was observed that Russian forces had limited their campaign to the Donbas region. However, after the seizing of Luhansk, Russia started heavily hitting southern, central and northern Ukraine as well. As a result, Ukrainian officials admit that Ukraine has to suffer huge losses. Meanwhile, Russia’s Defence Department claimed that nearly 600 Ukrainian soldiers were killed in the attacks launched by Russia in the city of Seversk in the last 48 hours.  

Russia has begun moves to take over the entire Donbas region after gaining control of Luhansk. Accordingly, forging ahead has begun toward the cities of Sloviansk, Kramatorsk and Bakhmut in the Donetsk province. The Russian Defence Department informed that Russian forces are seizing important routes and villages daily. Moreover, Russia has launched new attacks in central and northern Ukraine along with the attacks on Donetsk. Sources have claimed that Russian forces were directed to seize Kharkiv province in the north of Ukraine.  

In addition, it is said that there are also plans to seize Mykolaiv and Odessa in southern Ukraine. For this, new attacks have been launched in this area. Besides, attacks have also been launched on Dnipro city in central Ukraine. In the early part of the Ukraine campaign, Russia had used airstrikes and missiles on a large scale. The Russian forces have repeated it, and missiles are being fired at several cities in Ukraine. Ukrainian officials drew attention to the fact that the scope of the loss of life and financial losses in Ukraine has increased due to this Russian attack.  

Ukraine’s military intelligence warned that Russia has prepared to launch a new stage in the invasion. Furthermore, Russia has targeted most frontline regions in Ukraine in the past few days. The Ukrainian intelligence service said that this could be a preparation for a new phase. There are claims that Russia has reorganised its military squad in Donbas and South Ukraine.  

Meanwhile, Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu warned that Russian forces would implement a more aggressive policy against Ukraine in the coming period. Shoigu said that the Russian troops had been directed to respond forcefully to attacks from Ukraine and to increase the intensity of strikes on all fronts.
