Moscow – The Biden administration launched the Office of Pandemic Preparedness and Response Policy (OPPR) a month ago. The Biden administration had claimed that this department would assist in taking necessary preventive measures before another pandemic like Corona spreads. However, Russia has accused the United States of conspiring to spread a new pandemic worldwide through this department. The Russian Ministry of Defence has also claimed that the US military was studying the viruses and preparing to use these as biological weapons.

Moreover, the White House announced the Office of Pandemic Preparedness and Response Policy (OPPR) in July. The White House had stated the formation of OPPR, i.e. pandemic office, is to combat the pandemic in future. Besides, the White House claimed that the OPPR would be in charge of the public health-related disruptions of the US and its scientific research and treatment, i.e., it would undertake the initiative also against biological threats.

Furthermore, the statement said that this office will keep necessary preparations to end Corona, monkeypox and other dangerous pandemics. There also have been claims that this office will be in charge of taking action, preparedness and coordination among the concerned agencies against biological and related threats that prove to be dangerous to the security of the US. However, the head of Russia’s Radiation, Biological and Chemical Protection Troops, Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, alleged that this OPPR, i.e. US’s pandemic office, was created not to prevent biological attacks but to spread new pandemics.

Nonetheless, US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention department (CDC) has termed Anthrax, Tularemia and other variants of Coronavirus the most dangerous virus. Kirillov has said that Pentagon can use it as a bioterrorism agent. He has noted that the US is also working on some viruses that cause influenza and African fever.

Besides, Kirillov alleged that the US has prepared to control the pandemic by spreading it worldwide with the help of the pandemic office. He further added that this department of the US will be responsible for the major pandemic spreading in the world in the future. He also claimed that US’s pharmaceutical and vaccine-making companies would be the beneficiaries. Thus, Kirillov has alleged that though the US claims to launch this pandemic office to containment, it will be used to spread the pandemic.

Meanwhile, Kirillov had alleged even earlier that the US, interested in the Ukraine conflict, had set up bio-labs in Ukraine. He had alleged that these labs close to the Russian border conduct illegal research of viruses and that the US State Department also acknowledged it.
