Taipei/Beijing: Even after the elections held in Taiwan, it has become clear that the Chinese Communist government will continue its efforts to step up pressure on Taiwan. Taiwan’s Defense Ministry provided information that China had sent spy balloons, fighter planes and warships into Taiwanese territory in the last 24 hours. Taiwan has claimed that one of these spy balloons crossed Taiwan’s border.
China interfered heavily in
Taiwan‘s elections this month.
There were also attempts to intimidate Taiwanese voters with the help of aircraft and warships, as well as spy balloons. However, the people of Taiwan rejected this pressure from the communist government and elected an anti-China candidate as the head of state. This angered China even more, and it is using an aggressive pressure policy against Taiwan again.
Sending six ‘spy balloons’, four fighter planes and four warships in the last 24 hours is part of this pressure policy.
One of these spy balloons crossed the Taiwanese border. From this, it is evident that the Taiwanese system’s challenges have increased. Besides, Taiwan’s media has also released a report that four warships and four fighter planes, which are part of
China‘s People’s Liberation Army, have intruded into Taiwan’s border.
Earlier, China had focused on infiltration with aircraft, warships and naval militia boats under its ‘
Grey Zone Warfare‘. Nevertheless, China now appears to have increased the use of ‘spy balloons’, and by doing so, the country is indicating it will likely increase the scope of this warfare.
