The coronavirus pandemic is a biological war, Brazilian President

Brasilia: Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro created a sensation across the globe as he said, “It’s a new virus. Nobody knows whether it was born in a laboratory or because a human ate some animal they shouldn’t have. But the military knows all about chemical, biological and radiological warfare. Could we be fighting a new war? I wonder. Which country’s GDP has grown the most?” The Brazilian President announced that the coronavirus is a biological war started by China without making a direct accusation. The media around the globe have upheld the news.

President Bolsonaro fired the salvo of criticism while speaking at an event held on Wednesday in Brazil. Bolsonaro asked everyone, ‘Are we facing a new war?’ Last year, then US President Donald Trump had accused China saying, ‘The Coronavirus spread from the laboratory in Wuhan, first in Wuhan city and then around the world. China kept the information regarding the virus under wraps. The virus could have been contained in Wuhan if its information had been revealed at the right time. But China deliberately did not let that happen.’ Trump even castigated China and said China is responsible for all the loss suffered by the United States and all the other countries. President Trump would always refer to the coronavirus as the Wuhan Virus.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) inspected Wuhan, where the coronavirus had originated, releasing a report which gives China a clean chit. However, some officials from the WHO investigation team have also gone on record saying that China did not make available all documents and information. Therefore, some countries are still asking for a more thorough investigation into the origins of the pandemic. The issue has been repeatedly found becoming very sensitive for China. Therefore, China is monitoring the situation with extreme caution, trying to conceal as much information as possible. That is why researchers, exposing extremely sensitive and shocking details on the coronavirus pandemic, have mysteriously gone missing.

At the same time, a Chinese researcher, taking asylum in the United States, levelled severe allegations against China over the coronavirus pandemic. Therefore, the accusations which say the coronavirus pandemic is a biological war waged by China appear to have been confirmed.

Meanwhile, with the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, the global economy contracted. With the financial transactions coming to a grinding halt, the economies of developed and developing countries were showing negative trends. Even then, the Chinese GDP grew by 2.3% in 2020, and the Brazilian president pinpointed just that. When the global economy is under threat, the performance of the Chinese economy tells a different story, President Bolsonaro said as he tried to highlight the point.

In the early days, the European countries had also held China responsible for the coronavirus pandemic. However, China dismissed the accusations. It was desperate to prove that virus did not spread to the world from China. But today, the world as a whole has acknowledged that China is responsible for the global spread of the pandemic. The international community has thus turned against China, making the country a subject of contempt. In this present scenario, a large country like Brazil has provided an impetus to the political campaign against China by indicating it initiated a biological war. If the other world leaders endorse President Bolsonaro’s allegations in the near future, it could deliver a severe blow to China. At the same time, the world population may demand their governments to take action against China, which has caused immense damage to the world, to teach it a lesson.
