UN officials demand probe into the role of Iran President-elect Ebrahim Raisi in 1988 killings

Geneva/ Tehran – The senior officials of the United Nations have demanded an investigation on the current President-elect of Iran regarding the massacre carried out in 1988 in Iran. As soon as Javaid Rehman, designated as Investigator in the UN Human Rights Council, demanded a probe into this matter, there were accusations that efforts were initiated to destroy the mass graves of these victims. Besides, this demand by Rehman can entrap the Iran regime.

He further said that over the years, his office has gathered testimonies and evidence.
