Kyiv – Ukraine military has claimed to have intercepted the Russian troops trying to take control of the capital, Kyiv. Besides, Russia’s attacks on the Ukrainian city of Mariupol have intensified further. Airstrikes and artillery shelling have devastated Ukrainian cities, and about 3.5 million citizens have fled to other countries in fear for their lives.  

In the last 24 hours, 137 Ukrainian military locations have been severely attacked and destroyed, informed the Russian military. Moreover, Ukraine’s Defence Ministry has accused Russia of using Wagner mercenaries against Ukraine. The Ukrainian Defence Ministry also claimed that the mercenaries are on a mission to finish President Zelensky of Ukraine.  

While this session of volleying of accusations continues, Russia launched massive attacks on the cities of Kyiv and Kharkiv. As a result, the number of refugees fleeing Ukraine and taking refuge in other countries increases every day. At present this number has gone up to 3.5 million. The United Nations has claimed that this is the largest refugee crisis since World War II. Accordingly, it reveals that Ukraine has been in plight. It emerges that the claims made by President Zelensky, in this regard, are distorted.  

Zelensky had made announcements that the people of Ukraine have taken up arms against Russia. Despite the facts, it surfaces that the majority of Ukrainians are fleeing for fear of their lives in other countries for seeking shelter. The number of refugees going up to 3.5 million clarifies the fact. However, President Zelensky has still not ruled out having direct talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin to end the war in Ukraine.  

Simultaneously, Zelensky has set a new condition for Russia to hold a referendum in Ukraine once the negotiations with Russia take place. But Russia is not ready to give importance to this.
