Belgrade/Moscow/Kyiv – Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic claimed that the conflict between Russia and Ukraine is a global war. ‘We should understand that amid the world war, all the talks that it is a regional or a local war must be dropped. The entire Western world is fighting against Russia via Ukrainians’, the President of Serbia also further warned. Serbia is known as a pro-Russia country. In an interview with a Serbian news channel, President Vucic referred three times to the Russo-Ukraine conflict as a world war. The Serbian President also explained in the interview that everyone should be aware of this internationally. He also claimed that Serbia would try to preserve peace in the region even though this conflict has also affected the Balkan region.
He further said that he had an idea of what would happen next. He added that Vladimir Putin would propose that the operations between Seversk, Bakhmut and Soledar were over, and the Sloviansk-Kramatorsk-Avdiivka front had been seized. Western countries would not accept this proposal; they will not accept it, indeed. Moreover, he said that the crisis would become more intense and frightening if this happened. While Serbia’s leader talked about World War, Russia intensified the scope of its campaign more in Ukraine. Major missile attacks were launched on the city of Mykolaiv in southern Ukraine on Friday. S-300 missiles were used for these attacks. Ukrainian media reported that several buildings in the city centre were destroyed in the attack. Including Mykolaiv, aggressive attacks have also been launched over the cities of Seversk, Bakhmut and Sloviansk in the Donbas region.
Meanwhile, questioning has begun even in the Western countries about the use of weapons provided to Ukraine for attacks against Russia. Some US media and analysts have raised serious issues in this regard and have expressed the opinion that it is necessary to keep an eye on the stockpile of weapons. European countries, including the US, have supplied Ukraine with billions of dollars worth of weapons stockpiles. Russia has consistently issued warnings regarding this supply. Russia has warned that the intensity and duration of the crisis will increase to the extent that Western countries were increasing their stockpiles.
