Over the past few days, the issue of the nuclear power plant in Zaporizhia, which is under Russian control, seems to be festering. This project has been attacked four to five times in the last month. Russia and Ukraine have exchanged accusations for these attacks. Russia raised this issue in the UN Security Council. At the same time, it was also alleged that Western countries supporting Ukraine would be responsible if the project gets attacked, resulting in a significant disaster. Whereas Ukraine had accused Russia of resorting to ‘nuclear blackmail’. As the Zaporizhia issue heats up, Russia has again started to intensify the military attacks. In the last 48 hours, Russia has managed to capture the Udi area in Kharkiv, followed by Pisky in Donbas. At the same time, the defence department of Russia also informed that the Ukrainian line of defence had been breached near Ugledar and Bakhmut.

From Kharkiv in north-eastern Ukraine to Mykolaiv in southern Ukraine, Russia has launched heavy attacks on Ukrainian army units. The Russian army uses tanks, guns, rocket launchers and missiles in these attacks. Russian forces also destroyed the command posts of Ukraine’s Defence Brigade and Infantry Brigade in the attacks in Bakhmut and Kherson. Meanwhile, the Russian army shocked the Ukrainian army by destroying three weapons depots and two fuel depots in Kharkiv and Mykolaiv. Moreover, over 150 soldiers have been killed in the operation against the Ukrainian army in Kherson. The Russian defence department said that more than two hundred foreign soldiers were killed and 100 were injured in the attack on Kharkiv.

Meanwhile, Ukraine claimed to have blown up a railway bridge in Russia-controlled Kherson. This bridge was said to be important for the logistics of Russian supplies. After that, it was also said in Ukraine that a large base of the Russian private military company ‘Wagner Group’ was blown up in the Donetsk region.
