Moscow/Kyiv: In the wake of the new arms program announced by Western countries for Ukraine, Russia has launched a war against NATO and Western countries, and the conflict in Ukraine may escalate to a different level in future, warned Stefano Sannino, a senior official of the European Union. Sannino is working as the Secretary General of the European External Action Service. In a meeting a few days ago, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said Europe had entered the war against Russia. On the other hand, former Russian official Sergei Karaganov warned that the NATO countries sending tanks openly indicate war and will be targeted by Russia. Meanwhile, on Thursday, Russia launched a major missile attack on the Ukrainian capital Kyiv and its nearby areas, which claimed the lives of a large number of people.
Russia’s attacks on Ukraine are intensifying, and it has made major changes, including new military deployments. Russia has increased military deployment in most areas of the Ukrainian front, and continuous strikes are being carried out in the area from Kharkiv to Odesa. Ukraine’s advance has slowed due to the aggressive Russian strikes, and the Ukrainian army is currently focusing on protecting the areas it controls. Simultaneously, the plan to respond to Russia in the next few weeks is being finalized, and for this, more and more weapons have been demanded from western countries.
In response to Ukraine’s demands, the US and NATO member countries announced a large supply of arms. It includes missiles, tanks, artillery guns and armed vehicles. Some countries are said to be in the process of supplying fighter jets to Ukraine. Russia is continuously issuing warnings against arms supply by the West. Like the other weapons systems in Ukraine, the US tanks would also be burned and destroyed, Russian Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov had recently warned. Furthermore, Russian Ambassador Anatoly Antonov has highlighted that the deployment of Western troops will take the Russia-Ukraine conflict to a different level.
It is now coming to light that leaders and officials in European countries have started openly making statements about the Russia-NATO conflict. A few days ago, the German Foreign Minister claimed that Europe was at war with Russia while supporting the supply of arms to Ukraine. After that, the senior official of the European External Action Service warned that Russia had initiated a war against NATO and Western countries, and the conflict in Ukraine had escalated to another level. Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov also asserted that the US and Europe now appear to have openly stepped into the war in Ukraine.
Meanwhile, Russia launched a massive missile attack on Ukraine on Thursday. Capital Kyiv and its neighbouring areas were targeted at this time. The attacks are claimed to have witnessed a large number of casualties. Moreover, Ukraine has claimed to have intercepted most Russian missiles.
