Moscow/Kyiv: Russian forces have succeeded in advancing the city of Bakhmut in the Donbas region of Ukraine, along with Luhansk and Kharkiv areas. Senior Russian officials said the Russian Army had captured 20 small villages and other regions in Kharkiv province. At the same time, Ukraine said that there is a fierce struggle ongoing for every house and every meter of land in Bakhmut. Meanwhile, western intelligence agencies have claimed that Russia is planning to use large air strikes in the new invasion of Ukraine.

From the beginning of the new year, Russia started targeting the city of Bakhmut in east Ukraine more aggressively. Russia plans to bring the city under control before the end of one year since the Ukraine conflict began. Therefore, Russia has launched a fierce attack on the town and nearby areas, and it is becoming increasingly difficult for the Ukrainian Army to counter it. Most leaders and officials, including the Ukrainian President, are repeatedly making this claim. However, Ukraine has expressed its intention to fight till the last soldiers in Bakhmut. At the same time, the Russian Army has also deployed a large number of troops and weapons for Bakhmut and has taken steps to seize control of the city step by step. Russia has also captured two parts of the Bakhmut border in the last few days.

On the other hand, Russia has countered the Ukrainian military’s attacks in the Luhansk province. Along with this, the part of the Kharkiv attached to Luhansk has also been captured. Senior Russian official Vitaly Ganchev said 20 villages and other areas of Kharkiv had been taken over. Simultaneously, he claimed a fierce conflict was ongoing in some areas.

आगेकूचLast year, the Russian Army had to withdraw completely from Kharkiv. However, new information suggests that Russia has again launched attacks on the region and captured some parts of the region. In the last 24 hours, Russia has also launched a large number of rocket attacks in the Kherson, Mykolaiv and Zaporizhzhia areas. Ukraine has said there had been more than 70 attacks by Russia.

Meanwhile, western intelligence agencies claimed that Russia would launch a large number of air strikes during the new invasion of Ukraine. Intelligence agencies have said Russia had amassed a large number of fighter jets and helicopters on the Ukrainian border. The Financial Times has claimed that western agencies have given satellite photographs that show the same to the Ukrainian government.

Against this backdrop, the issue of fighter jets was again raised at a meeting of NATO member states in Brussels. Although Ukraine has demanded F-16s from the US, the country has refused to supply fighter jets. UK Foreign Secretary Ben Wallace has indicated that it will take at least two years to deliver UK fighter jets to Ukraine.
