Jerusalem: US President Joe Biden has invited Israeli President Isaac Herzog to the White House. Israeli President Herzog will leave for the US tour in a few hours. However, criticism from the United States is emerging that the Biden administration is deliberately insulting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. President Biden and his administration are treating Israel’s Prime Minister Netanyahu worse than Iran’s leaders, slammed the top US newspaper ‘The Wall Street Journal’. This newspaper has criticised that it would be completely wrong to adopt such a policy towards the government of a friendly nation, which is protecting the democratic interests of the United States.

Last week, the White House invited President Herzog of Israel. Accordingly, President Herzog will reach the White House on Tuesday and address both houses of the US Congress on Wednesday. The invitation sent by the Biden administration to the President of Israel has drawn criticism from the US and even Israel. It is alleged that the Biden administration is openly distancing itself from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the leaders of his government.

Moreover, US and Israeli media attention has highlighted the Biden administration’s refusal to meet with senior Israeli leaders, including Prime Minister Netanyahu, over the past six months. Allegations are being made that the Biden administration is aligning with Israel’s left-wing opposition groups instead of Netanyahu’s fiercely nationalist government. The US newspaper, ‘Wall Street Journal’, has strongly criticised this double-faced policy of the Biden administration. President Biden and his administration are treating Israel’s Prime Minister Netanyahu and his government worse than Iran’s leaders, the newspaper alleged.

A few days ago, President Biden made such criticism that the most extremist government in Israel is in power. At the same time, Tom Nides, the US ambassador to Israel, criticised Prime Minister Netanyahu. This stance of the Biden administration has drawn much criticism from Israel. Israelis are alleging that President Biden is cooperating more with the opposition than with the elected government of Israel. Netanyahu, who has been leading Israel for almost 25 years, despite being a good friend of the United States, is being treated disrespectfully by the Biden administration. By doing so, Biden is risking US interests, the US newspaper criticised.

Furthermore, the Netanyahu government’s decision regarding judicial reform is an internal matter of Israel. The government of Israel has the right to find a solution through the Israeli Parliament, and the White House should not interfere in their internal affairs, this newspaper has reprimanded. Also, Biden’s policy of undermining Netanyahu’s government is giving strength to Hamas and other terrorist organisations linked to Iran, the paper claimed. Due to this, terrorist activities have increased in the West Bank, and another front has emerged challenging the security of Israel, to which the mentioned newspaper also drew attention.

In such a situation, this newspaper also accused the Biden administration of not being serious about establishing cooperation between Israel and Saudi Arabia. On the contrary, due to the wrong policy of the Biden administration, Saudi established cooperation with China, the said daily has also underscored. A few days ago, Israel’s top news agency made similar allegations against the Biden administration.
