Beijing: Thousands of children in China’s capital, Beijing and nearby Liaoning province have been affected by an unknown type of pneumonia. Due to its spread, children’s wards that treat small children in hospitals have been filled, and hundreds of schools have been closed. In some parts of the country, masks have been made mandatory for children and their parents. This disease, which has been spreading since October, has not yet been controlled. The World Health Organization (WHO) has taken cognizance of this and demanded that China share information about this disease and patients with the organization.

Just two months ago, a scientist from China’s ‘Wuhan Institute of Virology‘ released a paper indicating that the new coronavirus may spread worldwide shortly. Wuhan Lab’s top scientist Shi Zhengli and his colleagues had warned about new infections by mentioning the new viruses of Corona. The same Zhengli had given a similar warning in 2019 before the Corona epidemic spread from Wuhan. For this reason, the indication in September and the large number of patients in October are attracting much attention.

China’s National Health Commission has recently shared information about the increase in respiratory diseases. Due to the complete lifting of Coronavirus-related restrictions, such infections are spreading by and large, China’s Health Department has said. Also, claims of diseases related to children were published in China through the media, social media and some foreign medical groups.

There is said to be a large spread of pneumonia among young children in the capital Beijing and Liaoning province. Earlier, it was claimed that Covid and SARS, which spread from China, also originated from pneumonia. On this background, WHO has taken cognizance of this epidemic posing a threat to children in China and has asked to share complete information about it. The World Health Organization has also asked what the connection was between the information released by the Chinese government and the spread of unknown pneumonia appearing in the media. Earlier, during the Corona era, the Communist government of China had hidden this information for several months. Because of this, it is feared that China will now make public information about the epidemic.

At the end of 2019, the Corona epidemic that spread from China’s Wuhan city created an uproar in the entire world. During this period, about 7 million people died, and coronavirus-infected people are still emerging in some countries. China released a report on this issue a few months ago.
