Hamas and Hezbollah had plotted attack on Israel last year, claims Lebanese newspaper

Beirut/Tehran: – Hamas and Hezbollah had hatched the plot for launching horrific attacks on Israel in the last year itself. A Lebanese newspaper claimed that Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh and Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah had made all the preparations. While the 11 days long Israel-Hamas conflict was going on, the Iranian military war room with Hamas-Hezbollah leaders had been set up in Lebanon. The newspaper said that this was being used to monitor every Israeli move.

Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, who has taken refuge in Qatar, met Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah at an undisclosed location in Lebanon in September last year. Hezbollah office had published photographs of this meeting. The plot to attack Israel was hatched in this Haniyeh-Nasrallah meeting. Both the leaders had agreed to use the tactics used by Hezbollah during the 2006 conflict between Hezbollah and Israel. The Hezbollah affiliated newspaper claimed, ‘The chief of Houthi rebels had demanded that the Houthis should be included in this plot to attack Israel and be informed about Israel’s locations to be attacked. But Haniyeh had informed the Houthis that till the Israel military does not overstep the limits, Houthis should not involve in the conflict.’
