Tel Aviv: – Hezbollah, a pro-Iranian terrorist group in Lebanon, has fired 19 rockets at Israel. A few hours ago, Hezbollah said it attacked in retaliation for an Israeli airstrike in Lebanon. Israel has called an emergency meeting of its security forces following the rocket attack. Earlier, Israel had warned that Lebanon would be held responsible if Hezbollah attacked Israel using its territory. Hence, there are clear indications that Israel will soon retaliate strongly.
Two days ago, three rockets were fired at Israel from the southern Lebanese border. Israel has refrained from accusing Hezbollah, claiming that a pro-Palestinian terrorist group in Lebanon carried out the attacks. In response, Israel launched airstrikes on villages in Lebanon, where the rockets were fired from. There were no casualties on either side. Less than a few hours later, 19 rockets were fired at Israel on Friday morning from the Lebanese border. The Iron Dome, the air defence system deployed by Israel to deal with short-range rockets, successfully intercepted ten rockets. Six rockets landed in the Har Dov region of Israel. The remaining three missiles did not cross the Lebanese border.
