‘Ukraine’ has augmented the threat of sparking a nuclear war

Moscow – Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Russia was working hard to prevent nuclear war. ‘The danger is serious, real. And we must not underestimate it,’ he said. The Russian Foreign Minister has accused the United States and NATO, which are appealing to stop the war, of equipping Ukraine with weapons.

By saying that Russia should be weakened to the extent that it cannot start a war like Ukraine again, the US Secretary of Defense had justified the sanctions against Russia and the defence aid to Ukraine. Against this background, the United States will call on NATO member states to provide military assistance to Ukraine from this meeting. The Russian Foreign Minister mentioned the Cuban Crisis during the Cold War. ‘During the Cuban Missile Crisis, there were not many written rules, but the rules of conduct were clear enough,’ Lavrov showed that the current war does not fit into this framework. Also, the US and Soviet Russia leaders had a communication system and could be trusted at that time. But the Russian Foreign Minister pointed out that there was no contact between the two countries leaders.
