Jerusalem / Washington – A nuclear storm will erupt worldwide after the US and Western countries sign a nuclear deal with Iran. International analysts have warned that Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt and the UAE will compete to get the atomic bomb. US analysts had warned a few days ago that Saudi Arabia would follow Iran to get equipped with a nuclear weapon. Saudi had issued similar warnings.
If the nuclear deal has to succeed, Iran has demanded that all sanctions imposed on Iran be withdrawn and the Revolutionary Guards be excluded from the list of terrorist organisations; Iran has put forth such conditions to the United States. The Biden administration has not made any announcement about these demands. But the Biden administration has indicated sanctions waivers to Iran for the nuclear deal. The ruling party in the US Congress and the lawmakers of the opposition have strongly opposed this. But despite the opposition, the Biden administration is adamant about a nuclear deal with Iran. Therefore, senior US officials are making the Biden administration aware of what would happen if there was a nuclear deal.
Secretary of State Antony Blinken had recently said that the US would not have any no benefit in keeping Iran’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) on the list of the terrorist organisation. ‘The IRGC has American blood on its hands, and there’s no good reason for the United States even to consider lifting this FTO designation,’ said Middle East analyst Ellie Cohanim. Cohanim warned that despite acknowledging Iran’s demands for Revolutionary Guards, the Biden administration makes the nuclear deal, it will provoke a nuclear arms contest in the Middle East. Amir Avivi, an analyst at the Defense and Security Forum study group, cited the possibilty of more severe consequences.
If Iran becomes nuclear-armed, Iran’s rivals in the Middle East will become insecure. After that, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan and the UAE will also start moving to be nuclear-equipped, Avivi warned. If that happens, the US and Europe would have no moral right to advise countries not to be armed with nuclear weapons for self-defence, Avivi warned. It will be apparent that Iran is moving toward being nuclear-equipped when Saudi Arabia acquires an atomic bomb from Pakistan. Israeli analysts have claimed that Saudi, which funds Pakistan’s nuclear programme, has already made provision long ago.
If that happens, then there would be instability in the Middle East and worldwide, and conflict will erupt around the globe. Avivi made aware that Israel’s very existence would be in jeopardy. Therefore, the nuclear deal with Iran is a threat to humanity. Avivi expressed concern that the European Union and the Biden administration pushing for a nuclear deal is incomprehensible. Avivi reminded that Iran, with which the Biden administration is so insistent on a nuclear deal, had called the US a ‘Big Satan’ and Israel a ‘Little Satan’.
