Russia initiates strong moves to widen Ukraine conflict 

Moscow/Kyiv: Russian President Vladimir Putin has assured that the Russian government will not allow the armed forces to face any shortfall of funds in the Ukraine conflict. In a meeting with officials from the Russian armed forces on Wednesday, Putin made important announcements on nuclear preparedness, deploying hypersonic missiles, and increasing military personnel. These announcements by President Putin indicate that Russia is preparing for a long-term conflict in Ukraine. In the last few days, Ukraine, the UK and Western media claimed that Russia was preparing for a new attack. It has been confirmed by the Belarus visit of Putin and senior leaders and Putin holding high-level meetings for two consecutive days. On Tuesday, it was reported that President Putin held a meeting with the Russian intelligence agencies and gave them instructions regarding an intelligence gathering. Later, on Wednesday, the Russian President had a long discussion with senior officials of the armed forces.  

Ukraine conflictAt the beginning of the meeting, President Putin assured that the Russian government and the people would not allow the armed forces to suffer any shortage. Putin also said there would be no limit on the funds made available for the Ukraine conflict and that the armed forces would receive everything they needed. President Putin said, ‘I hope that after getting proper support from the government, the armed forces will respond appropriately, and expected success will be achieved in the campaign.’ At this time, Putin also blamed the policies of third countries for provoking the Ukraine conflict.  

During the meeting with the armed forces, Putin claimed that the new nuclear Sarmat missile system would be inducted into the Russian armed forces early next year. At the same time, he also said that the hypersonic missile ‘Zircon’ would be deployed in the Russian Navy in the coming weeks. It was also announced during the meeting that the capacity of the Russian armed forces would be increased by five hundred thousand and take it to 15 hundred thousand soldiers. Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu has confirmed this. He also informed that new deployments would be made in the western region in view of Finland and Sweden joining NATO.  

Former Russian Deputy Prime Minister Rogozin injured in the Donetsk attack

Donetsk: The former Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, Dmitry Rogozin, was seriously injured in an attack launched by the Ukrainian army using precision weapons. Russian sources informed that Vitaly Khotsenko, a senior leader in Donetsk, was also injured along with him. The incident reportedly occurred during an attack on a hotel on the outskirts of Donetsk city.  

There is currently an intense conflict between the Russian and Ukrainian armies in the Donbas region. A few days ago, the Ukrainian military fired a large number of rockets and artillery at Donetsk. Rogozin is claimed to have entered eastern Ukraine for a Russian operation along with a special unit.
