Jerusalem: Iran plans to launch new attacks on the Gulf countries. At the same time, Iran is supplying advanced weapons to Russia. David Barney, head of the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad, warned that these Iranian intentions would prove dangerous for global security, including the Middle East. Meanwhile, Iran had already rejected the allegations made by the United States and European countries about arming Russia.  

Israel has accused Iran of accelerating its nuclear and military activities while the West is focused on the Russia-Ukraine conflict. David Barney, the head of the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad, one of the most powerful intelligence agencies in the world, warned the West and the Gulf countries about Iran’s upcoming intentions. Mossad chief also claimed that Iran’s intentions were not good. Iran will continue to supply Russia with advanced weapons. In return, Russia would also help Iran’s nuclear program, Barney asserted. Earlier, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) had expressed concern over the suspicious activities in Iran’s nuclear plants. The agency had claimed that Iran violated the limit allowed to it on uranium enrichment and that it was close to building a nuclear bomb.

In the third warning, Barney explained that there is a threat to the security of the Gulf countries from Iran. Barney warned that Iran might launch new attacks on the Gulf countries soon. Moreover, Barney alleged that while on the one hand, Iran is sending its officials to Vienna for meetings with the International Atomic Energy Agency, it is also sending terrorists to kill innocent citizens around the world on the other.  

Earlier in 2019, Houthi rebels in Yemen had claimed responsibility for a drone attack on an oil installation in eastern Saudi Arabia. However, Saudi Arabia blamed Iran for the drone attack. After that, Saudi destroyed the drone bases set up by Iran in Yemen. It led to a dispute between Saudi Arabia and Iran.
