Jerusalem – ‘Hezbollah should learn from what the Hamas has already learnt. No terrorist will be safe,’ Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned. Hezbollah is continuously threatening Israel, and information has come to light that Hezbollah fired 62 rockets at Israel from the Lebanese border. At the same time, Hezbollah has made preparations to increase the intensity of the ongoing attacks on Israel, and there are concerns that this will draw the entire Gulf region into this war. Against this background, the Israeli Prime Minister’s warning to Hezbollah to learn from Hamas is attracting much attention.
Saleh al-Arouri, a senior leader of Hamas, was killed by Israel in a drone strike on January 2 in Beirut, Lebanon. Israel has not acknowledged this attack, yet Israeli leaders are making suggestive statements regarding this issue. Hezbollah threatened Israel after this incident. Arouri was under the protection of Hezbollah in Beirut. Hence, by killing him, Israel has simultaneously shocked Hamas, Hezbollah and Iran, which stands behind it. Therefore, Hezbollah and Iran are reacting to the killing of Arouri along with Hamas.
Brigadier General Ismail Kani of the Quds Forces of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards has issued a warning to Israel, saying, ‘The killing of Arouri will prove to be very costly for Israel.’ Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah had also warned that Israel would have to pay a heavy price for this attack. Hassan Nasrallah also gave a message to the people of Lebanon to prepare for the war against Israel. Just a few hours later, Hezbollah started rocket attacks on Israel from the Lebanese border. A total of 62 Hezbollah rockets hit Israeli territory. However, Israel has not suffered any loss in this, the Israeli intelligence agencies claim.
After the meeting of the Israeli Cabinet Ministers on Sunday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu threatened Hezbollah in strong words. Prime Minister Netanyahu said Hezbollah will have to learn a lesson from the lessons already learned by Hamas.
At the same time, saying that no terrorist will be safe, Netanyahu has indicated that Israel will not stay silent unless it eliminates terrorists in the days to come.
Meanwhile, if Hezbollah attacks Israel, the entire Gulf region will be pushed into war, the US and European countries are expressing such concern. To prevent this from happening, the US has started its activities, and soon, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken will visit Israel. However, no matter what happens, Israel will not rest without eliminating the terrorists of Hamas, Israel has sent this message by killing Arouri. US analysts are warning Israel against this war, saying that Lebanon’s Hezbollah is ten times more powerful than Hamas. Prime Minister Netanyahu has warned that Israel will not care about Hezbollah either, and the situation of Hamas can also become like that of Hezbollah. Some strategic analysts are claiming that the anti-Hamas military operation launched by the Israeli Defense Forces in the Gaza Strip is on the verge of ending. In such a situation, Israel may focus its attention on Hezbollah in the future. These analysts have claimed that Israel might have destroyed Arouri for this reason.
