Houthi rebels launch strong drone & missile attacks in Red Sea

Sanaa – The United States has accused the Yemeni Houthi rebels of increasing the intensity of the attacks on the Red Sea and Israel. In addition, the Houthi rebels claimed to have foiled 12 suicide drones and five missile attacks in the Red Sea in just ten hours on Tuesday. It has surfaced that US destroyers and F/A-18 Super Hornet fighter jets deployed in the Red Sea have carried out the attack. Also, the Houthi rebels released drones in the direction of Israel and Egypt. Israel has declared that it had shot down the drone before it could enter the Israeli city of Eilat. Besides, there were reports of a Houthi drone falling in Egypt’s Sinai province.

A few hours ago, the Houthi attacked the container carrier ship MSC UNITED VIII, passing through this maritime area. There are claims that this ship has been damaged. The ship was going to Pakistan, travelling through the Red Sea. In the backdrop of these Houthi attacks, the trade traffic system by sea route has broken down. In such a situation, the US has shown readiness to provide security to some heavy cargo ships. Therefore, there are claims that this ship will travel under the protection of the United States through the Red Sea in the next few hours.
