Tel Aviv – Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant has made a serious allegation that more than 1,400 UN employees appointed by the United Nations to assist the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip are Hamas or Islamic Jihad terrorists. He further criticised that this is why the role of the UN NGOs in Gaza is being questioned. Besides, Israel released a video showing the involvement of the concerned UN employees in the attack on Israel by Hamas terrorists on October 7. However, a senior UN official said that Israel was accusing the UN NGOs so that it could achieve its objectives in Gaza.

Moreover, the UN is trying to stop the military action initiated by Israel against Hamas in the Gaza Strip. Also, the UN has criticised that the humanitarian aid in Gaza is not reaching the Palestinians due to the Israeli military action. The UN had also alleged that Israel was killing Palestinians through this. However, Israel has retaliated, saying that despite Israel opening the route, the UN humanitarian aid is not reaching the needy Palestinians. On the contrary, Israel released a video of the loot, saying that the Hamas terrorists were looting the humanitarian aid of the United Nations even before it reached Gaza. However, the United Nations rejected the allegations, saying that Israel has not presented concrete evidence in this regard.

Nonetheless, the Israeli Defense Minister has made serious allegations about the UN NGOs based in Gaza in such a situation. About 13,000 employees work for the UN NGO in Gaza. Defense Minister Gallant claimed that 12% of them, or more than 1,400 people, are Hamas or Islamic Jihad terrorists. Additionally, Gallant has drawn attention to the fact that 12 UN employees were also involved in the horrific attack on Israel by Hamas on October 7. Israel has revealed the identity of the 12 employees who are Hamas terrorists and has also released the videos of two of them.

Furthermore, nine of the 12 worked as teachers in schools in Gaza as employees of the UN voluntary organisation. Therefore, Israel has also accused the United Nations school in Gaza of being a base for Hamas. Apart from this, Israel had already accused Hamas of using these schools as launching pads to attack Israel. A few hours ago, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) revealed that a Hamas terrorist disguised as a doctor during an operation in a hospital in Gaza.

Meanwhile, Israel has taken a big step to get help from the Palestinians by taking advantage of the growing discontent against the Hamas leaders based in Gaza. The Israeli military has been giving a message to the Palestinians to reward them in cash for sharing information about the Hamas leaders in Gaza. In addition, the Israeli military has expressed hope that the Palestinian people, enraged with Hamas, would help them.

Also, Hamas leaders present abroad are considering the issue of expelling Gaza’s Hamas leader, Yahya Sinwar. This is being done as Hamas leaders are not ready to trust Sinwar. However, there are claims that differences between Sinwar and Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh over the ceasefire with Israel are the reason behind this.
