New Delhi / Islamabad – ‘An Indian submarine was trying to enter Pakistani waters. Nevertheless, the Pakistan Navy detected it in time and thwarted the attempt. The submarine could have been easily engaged and destroyed had it not been Pakistan’s policy to exercise restraint in the face of Indian aggression,’ Pakistan Navy claimed. However, the Indian Navy deflated Pakistan’s ‘restraint’ bubble. India has undoubtedly deployed its ships, but Pakistan is entirely oblivious of the deployment, said the Indian Navy as Indian government continues to increase pressure over Pakistan. At the same time, the Indian Navy chief Admiral Sunil Lanba warned that a sea-borne terror attack was likely and that the Navy was prepared for it.
On Tuesday morning, Pakistan started its fake propaganda. “The Indian submarine was trying to enter Pakistani waters. However, the Pakistani navy detected the submarine and successfully thwarted the attempt,” Pakistani Navy stated. “The submarine could have easily been engaged and destroyed had it not been Pakistan’s policy to exercise restraint in the face of Indian aggression. The Pakistan Navy merely chased the submarine out of Pakistani waters,” Pak Navy bragged over the incident. It also shared a video of the alleged incident on social media and the timestamp on the video footage shows the recording time as 8.30 pm on March 4, 2019.
Albeit, only within a few hours, it was clear that it was a part of Pakistan’s false propaganda. The video footage was found to have been shot in November 2016, and the timestamp on the video was changed and then used for spreading misinformation. Also, the Indian Navy published a statement exposing the Pakistani sham. “Pakistan is resorting to false propaganda by spreading misinformation. The Indian Navy does not take cognisance of such propaganda. Our deployments remain undeterred”, the Indian Navy statement clarified.
Meanwhile, the Indian Navy Chief Admiral Sunil Lamba, while addressing the ‘Indo-Pacific Regional Dialogue’ at New Delhi warned, “We also have reports of terrorists being trained to carry out operations in various modus operandi including through the medium of the sea”. Even so, the Naval chief asserted that the Indian Navy was prepared for any aggression.
Earlier, the Indian intelligence agencies had warned that the terrorist organisations and their supporter, the Pakistani ISI were training the terrorists for marine operations. While India prepares for stern action against Pakistan, the Pakistanis might deviously plot terror attacks to deliver a blow to New Delhi, forewarned Admiral Lanba.
