Moscow / Kyiv – Russian President Vladimir Putin issued a stern warning that Russia will launch attacks on new targets if the United States and its allies supply Ukraine with long-range missiles and related mechanisms. Against the backdrop of this warning, the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, has been targeted for the attacks. Five cruise missiles were fired at the capital Kyiv early Sunday morning. At the same time, information has surfaced that Russian strategic bombers have launched missile attacks on the Mykolaiv city and nearby areas in southern Ukraine.  

In the last few days, Russia had launched intense attacks had been launched targeting the Donbas region. Russia has had great success in these attacks and gained control of many cities and strategic areas of the region. At the same time, a decisive conflict is being fought between the Russian and Ukrainian forces to seize the towns of Severodonetsk and Lysychansk. A few days ago, reports surfaced that Ukrainian troops had forcibly withdrawn from the conflict. Therefore, the troubled Western nations have decided to supply Ukraine with new advanced missile and rocket systems. Russia has sharply reacted to this, as the systems could also carry out attacks in Russia.  

Russian President Vladimir Putin sternly warned the Western countries in an interview with a news channel. Putin warned that if the United States and its allies supply long-range missiles to Ukraine, Russia will begin aggressive attacks on new targets. Russia’s President Vladimir Putin has warned that Russia will launch severe attacks on areas not yet targeted in the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Putin also cited that the Russian forces have also destroyed the Western systems earlier supplied to Ukraine. Simultaneously, he also accused that the foreign systems were being provided to Ukraine with a plot to prolong the Russia-Ukraine conflict more and more.  

As the Russian President’s interview was being published, Russian forces targeted the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv again. Five cruise missiles were fired at the capital, Kyiv, and nearby areas early Sunday. Russia has informed that the missiles targeted foreign weapons stocks and tanks in Kyiv. Although Ukraine has confirmed the Russian missile strikes, it has not informed what exactly the target was. A major missile attack was launched nearly after a month after the withdrawal from Kyiv.  

The strategic city of Mykolaiv in the south was also targeted, along with the capital Kyiv. Russia’s Tu-95 bombers smash hit missiles at the city. Herein, the foreign weapons stocks are targeted, the Russian Defence Ministry claimed. But Ukraine has said it has repulsed a Russian missile strike.
