Russia is yet to wage real war against Ukraine

Moscow / Kyiv – Russia has not even begun a real war against Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin warned. ‘We have heard many times that the West wants to fight us to the last Ukrainian. This is a tragedy for the Ukrainian people, but it seems that everything is heading towards this,’ in these words, Putin signalled that the Russia-Ukraine struggle would continue for a long time. While Putin was signalling a more intense conflict, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned that Ukraine would not give up on their territory under any circumstances.

A few days ago, after the seizure of Luhansk province in Ukraine, Russian President Putin had hinted at continuing the conflict further. Putin appears to have clearly affirmed these indications in a meeting conducted on Thursday. At a meeting of Russia’s ruling party, he warned that Russia was equipped for a protracted conflict against Ukraine. ‘Today, we hear that they want to defeat us on the battlefield. What can you say, let them try,’ Putin clarified.

As Putin drew attention to the long-running conflict, Ukraine’s President has also spoken of aggressive intentions. In response, the Ukrainian public will not give up any of their territories, Zelensky warned Russia in such words. This time, he again demanded swift and large-scale arms assistance from the West. Zelensky also acknowledged that Russian forces had seized Luhansk. At the same time, US President Joe Biden should visit Ukraine and send a message to the world, including Russia, the Ukrainian President also noted.

Meanwhile, Russia has increased the scope of its attacks in Ukraine on a large scale. Russia’s Defence Forces informed that it has begun to launch simultaneous attacks on almost 40 locations in the Donetsk province. These include regions in Sloviansk, Kramatorsk and Bakhmut. Ukraine informed that Russia had smouldered some villages to ashes by hitting them with the help of tanks, artillery and rockets.

Along with Donetsk, missile attacks were launched at Odessa in southern Ukraine. The attacks targeted Harpoon missile systems supplied by the United Kingdom to Ukraine. Besides, the Ukrainian military has warned that Ukraine’s capture of Snake Island near Odessa is a signal to Russia.

Moreover, Russia also said that it had blown up US HIMARS rocket systems a few days ago. Additionally, Ukrainian agencies informed that Russia had attacked the cities of Kharkiv and Sumy.
