New York – ‘Iran’s nuclear programme has hit a watershed moment, and so has our tolerance. Words do not stop centrifuges from spinning. Israel will not allow Iran to acquire a nuclear weapon,’ Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett decisively warned United Nations along with Iran. Israeli and Western media claim that the Israeli Prime Minister has signalled for action against Iran. Iran’s permanent representative to the UN, Majid Takht-Ravanchi, criticized that the Israeli prime minister’s speech was based on false accusations and its hatred for Iran haunts Israel.
In his first speech to the United Nations, the Israeli Prime Minister mentioned Iran’s nuclear programme and the Iran-backed terrorist groups like Hezbollah, Hamas, Houthi and Islamic Jihad. Bennett said, ‘Iran seeks to dominate the region through ‘a nuclear umbrella’ and has been destructing the region for the last three decades. Iran is responsible for the disasters in Lebanon, Iraq, Syria, Yemen and Gaza.’ The Israeli Prime Minister claimed that ‘Every country that Iranian activists touch fails.’
PM Bennett reminded the UN of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi’s past. In 1988, the Iranian regime had ordered the mass execution of about 5,000 political opponents. These political opponents were hanged by a crane. Prime Minister Bennett pointed out that the existing Iranian President Raisi, was at the forefront of those who ordered the massacre. Subsequently, the Israeli Prime Minister slammed the Iranian nuclear programme and the surfacing information. PM Bennett said, ‘Iran’s nuclear weapons programme is at a critical point. All red lines have been crossed and that Iran had denied access to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspectors and harassed them. All wishful thinking has proven false.’ The Israeli PM has criticized Iran for violating all the safeguard agreements of the IAEA and enriching uranium to 60%. Prime Minister Bennett has accused Iran of its clear intentions for nuclear weapons at secret sites in Tehran, the Iranian capital, and Turquzabad and Marivan.
Bennett emphasized that Israel will not allow Iran to acquire a nuclear weapon. He also criticized Western countries trying to re-implement the 2015 nuclear deal with Iran. Prime Minister Bennett raised doubts over the ongoing negotiations in Geneva, saying that success could certainly be achieved if serious efforts were made to stop Iran. Hereafter, Israel would have to make efforts to establish relations with the Jews in the US newly, Prime Minister Bennett said at an event.
Meanwhile, Iran has criticized the warning issued by the Israeli Prime Minister. Iranian Ambassador Ravanchi claimed that Israel, which possesses hundreds of nuclear warheads, falsely accuses peaceful Iranian nuclear programmes.
