Tokyo – The United States and Japan have come together to develop hypersonic missiles against the backdrop of China, Russia and North Korea developing hypersonic missiles. Besides, it will be announced next week that Japan will build a hypersonic interceptor missile in collaboration with the US. Later, President Biden and Prime Minister Kishida will go to Camp David with President Yoon Suk Yeol of South Korea, wherein the security issue of China and the Indo-Pacific region is expected to be discussed.
Meanwhile, the US and Japanese leaders will announce the construction of hypersonic interceptor missiles. US and Japan signed an agreement in this regard in January last year. According to this, military technology will be developed to construct this interceptor missile. Apart from this, not much information in this regard has been revealed.
Nonetheless, a hypersonic missile capable of flying at five times the speed of sound could be the deadliest worldwide. The US, Russia, India, China and other countries are currently working on the technology of this missile.
