Russia attacks Kharkiv, eastern & southern Ukraine with missiles, drones & artillery

Moscow/Kyiv – Russia has further intensified its attacks as the attention of the West diverts from Ukraine due to conflict in the Gulf region. Besides, reports of the Russian defence forces launching intense attacks on most fronts, from Kharkiv in northeastern Ukraine to Kherson province in the south, have come to the fore in the last 24 hours. During this time, Russia is said to have heavily used missiles, drones, rockets, mortars and cannons. Also, Ukraine has claimed that Russia fired 36 missiles in 24 hours in Kherson province. At the same time, the Russian Ministry of Defence has shared that more than 650 Ukrainian soldiers were killed in the attacks in Donetsk and South Donetsk areas.

RussiaDespite the counteroffensive launched in June proving to be a complete failure, the Ukrainian army claims the attacks continue under this campaign. However, the Ukrainian military does not seem to gain anything from these attacks. On the contrary, it is suffering a huge loss of lives and weapons. Since the Israeli-Hamas war broke out in the Gulf region two weeks ago, Westerners have focused on the Gulf region. Moreover, information about major countries like the United States and Germany providing weapons for Ukraine to Israel has also come to light. Senior officials and President Volodymyr Zelensky have also acknowledged that Ukraine faces many problems because of this.

Against this background, Russia has launched vigorous attacks on most fronts in Ukraine. In the last 24 hours, Russia launched intense attacks on Kharkiv, Donetsk, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk provinces in the northeastern part of Ukraine. Nonetheless, it has been said to have killed at least ten people and several others have been injured in the missile attacks in Kharkiv. Meanwhile, Ukrainian agencies have claimed that about 36 missiles were fired at Kherson in the last 24 hours.

Moreover, the Russian Ministry of Defence has shared information that they have foiled a Ukrainian plot to blow up a Russian bridge and cross the Dnipro River in the Kherson province. It also claimed that the attacks in Kryvyi Rih and Zaporizhzhia caused heavy damage to infrastructure facilities and military installations. The Russian army is also said to have advanced near Avdiivka in Donetsk province. Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defence shared that more than 650 soldiers have been killed in the last 24-hour conflict in Donetsk.

Furthermore, some analysts claim that the ongoing Russian attacks are on the rise, and some claim that these attacks are a preparation for the winter offensive being launched against Ukraine in the next few days. Additionally, analysts are drawing attention to Russia’s plan to launch a pervasive attack on Ukraine in winter by damaging its weapons stockpile and other capabilities.
