Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that the four provinces of Ukraine, Luhansk, Donetsk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia, which are under the control of the Russian army, have now become part of the Russian Federation. In the 2014 war, Russia took control of the Crimea region of Ukraine and annexed it to Russia. Ukrainian President Zelensky announced regaining control over Crimea from Russia. But by cutting off four more regions from Ukraine, Russia has created a sensation all over the world. A referendum was held in all these four provinces, and the people here decided to join Russia. Therefore, these have become Russian territories, and President Putin has warned that Russia would take any extreme decision to protect them.

‘But no matter what happens, Russia is not ready to compromise its sovereignty and self-respect. Russia will not betray its traditional values and culture. I have full faith in Russia’s power; Russia will fight against the US and the West with all its might,’ President Putin proclaimed.

These policies of the West are not only against Russia but also harming the people of Western countries. Russia, which opposes it, is receiving increasing support from other countries. Putin realized that Russia is getting a good response from even the US,’ Vladimir Putin said on this occasion. As Putin’s speech leaves lasting repercussions, analysts in European countries are claiming that it is meant to provoke not only the Russian people but also the opponents of the US and Western countries worldwide as it leaves deep repercussions.
