Israel deploys nuclear submarine to the Mediterranean Sea

Jerusalem: Against the backdrop of rising tensions with Iran and Lebanon’s terrorist organization Hezbollah, Israel has deployed a nuclear submarine to the Mediterranean Sea. Through this deployment, Israel is giving a clear message of its military preparedness. Through this deployment, Israel is giving the warning that it has prepared for a ‘second strike’, an Israeli journalist claimed. The Israeli army has not made public any information about naval activities apart from the ongoing air and military action on Gaza.

In a news report released two days ago, journalist Doron Kadosh of a radio channel run by the Israeli security forces had shared the information about Israel deploying a nuclear submarine to the Mediterranean Sea. ‘Iran and Hezbollah can attack Israel for providing support to Gaza’s Hamas terrorists. In such a situation, Israel has deployed submarines to the Mediterranean Sea to respond to Iran and Hezbollah,’ Kadosh claimed.

There are five submarines of the ‘Dolphin II’ class in the Israeli Navy’s fleet. These are all German-made submarines and Israel is purchasing more submarines of this class. It is possible to arm the submarines with torpedoes and missiles. Israel has never made public the information about the weapons deployed on these submarines. However, Israel, which is leading in the field of defence technology, is capable of doing this, a group called ‘Nuclear Threat Initiative’ has claimed. This group has said that Israel can also install nuclear explosives on these submarine missiles.

For this reason, if Israel has deployed submarines to the Mediterranean Sea, they will be equipped with missiles that can bear nuclear explosives, Kadosh claimed. The Israeli government or army has not made any announcement on this issue. However, its seriousness has increased because the Israeli security forces’ radio channel made this information public. Meanwhile, there were reports of Israel manufacturing a ‘sponge bomb’ to eliminate the terrorists hiding in the tunnel of Gaza. It is also being claimed that Israeli forces are using it in a tunnel near the Gaza border.
