Israel kills Hezbollah drone chief in Lebanon, launches retaliatory attack on Hezbollah in 12 hours

Tel Aviv/Beirut – Hezbollah terrorists had carried out Kamikaze or suicide drone attacks on the northern part of Israel to avenge the killing of Senior Commander Wissam al-Tawil. Hezbollah had also claimed to have targeted an Israeli military base. However, a few hours later, Israel took action in the Khirbet Selm area of southern Lebanon, and during this time, the head of Hezbollah’s drone department was killed. This is the second major blow to Hezbollah in just three days.

Israel kills Lebanon's Hezbollah drone chiefTwo days ago, Israel carried out an airstrike in southern Lebanon, and the second-in-command of the Hezbollah Special Command Forces, Wissam al-Tawil, was killed in the attack. Tawil was also involved in the abduction of Israeli soldiers in 2006. Qasem Soleimani, the head of Iran’s Quds Forces, and Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah were known as trusted leaders of Imad Mughniyeh. Moreover, Israel had given a big blow to Hezbollah by killing him.

Nonetheless, Hezbollah launched a drone attack on the northern region of Israel on Tuesday morning to avenge this attack. ‘Hezbollah does not have to start a war with Israel. However, if Israel wants to go to war, Hezbollah will not stop without defeating Israel,’ Hezbollah threatened. Consequently, this created tension in the region but did not cause any harm to Israel.

After this, Israel killed one more important Hezbollah commander in action taken in southern Lebanon on Tuesday afternoon. Besides, Hezbollah has expressed anger over the Israeli attacks. Therefore, there is a possibility that the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah might intensify in the coming times.
